Rental inspections (open homes, private appointments) still continue where permitted with good hygiene and business practices:
- wash hands regularly throughout the day, do not touch your face
- avoid handshakes or greetings human contact

cover your nose/mouth when coughing or sneezing
- stay home if sick or feeling unwell, self isolate if exposed to potential coronavirus carries
- keep 1.5 metres physical distance
- provide hand sanitiser and tissues
- check if the tenant/occupant has been self isolating, travelled overseas before opening a home
- cancelling or deferring non-essential travel plans
Renters - access and attendance in person
Social distancing and hygiene are paramount.
If you are occupying a rental home is open for inspection:
- please clean before and after the viewing
- if you are self-isolating advise the property manager before the open homes
If you are inspecting a property:
- wash hands regularly throughout the day do not touch your face
- do not touch surfaces in the property
- call the property manager to find out more about the property
- pre-apply to determine your suitability
- do not attend open homes if you are unwell, coughing, sneezing or have travelled overseas in the last 14 days
- request a private appointment if you have any issues
- try to be on time with viewing slots
- comply with COVID travel restrictions (take ID to confirm your residential address)
Open homes and private appointments:
- provide longer open homes to space out the crowd
- provide option of private appointments
- show only vacant properties (not tenanted)
- provide more photos and advert information to answer questions
- allow tenants to pre-apply, and show the most suitable candidate
