Overview
If you entered the wrong referee details (or your referee’s contact info has changed), you can redirect the reference request from the Application Summary page. This sends the request to the correct person without needing to start over.
Before you start
- You’ll need access to the application in Snug.
- Make sure you have the referee’s correct name, mobile number, and email address.
Step-by-step guide: Redirect the reference request
- Open the relevant application in Snug.
- Go to the Application summary page.
- Locate the Redirect area.
- Select Redirect (next to the Manual Reference button).
- Enter the correct referee details:
- Name
- Mobile number/Phone number
- Email address
- Confirm to send the reference request to the updated referee.
What happens next?
- The reference request will be sent to the updated referee contact details.
- If the referee details were incorrect, redirecting helps ensure the right person receives the request.
Troubleshooting
- I can’t see the “Redirect” button: Double-check you are on the Application summary page and that you’re looking in the Manual Reference section.
- The referee still hasn’t received anything: Ask them to check their inbox, spam/junk folders (if email was used), and confirm the mobile number and email address are correct.
