This article explains why and how to perform a “hard refresh” (clearing cache and reloading) in various web browsers on different operating systems.
Why Hard Refresh?
Web browsers store local copies (cache) of website assets, like images and files, to speed up loading times. However, this cached data can sometimes prevent you from seeing the latest version of a webpage or cause the page to freeze or behave unexpectedly.
A hard refresh forces the browser to bypass the cache and download the most recent assets directly from the server. This is especially useful when a page isn't loading correctly or becomes unresponsive, performing a hard refresh can often resolve the issue instantly.
Note: Ensure you only have one tab of the site open when performing a hard refresh to effectively clear the cache for that site.
