Snug enables Pre-Apply so renters can submit their details and property managers can optimise viewings with potentially suitable rental prospects rather than general open homes. Pre-Apply helps renters and property managers save time and better match their requirements.
How Pre-Apply Works
- Renters enquire on a property and receive the Pre-Apply link or start applications via the Snug property page.
- Renters complete the disclosure that they are pre-applying and conditionally accept the property as presented online, subject to a viewing
- Property managers receive and manage the application and can then schedule a viewing with the selected applicants/prospects from the specific Application, Messages or in Viewings.
Note:
- Viewings will NOT display on the property page; they will be suppressed.
- The email auto-responder will NOT include the viewing times; prospects will be requested to Pre-Apply.
- Property Managers can schedule viewings with the selected applicants as either private appointments or open homes. Only open home times will be sent to active prospects. Alternatively, a private appointment can be set for the preferred applicant.
Example of the Enquiry Auto-Responder message:
- Log in to your Snug admin account.
- Go to Settings in the left menu.
- Select Applications under the Growth Plan section.
- Find the option Require Pre-Apply before viewing, not after.
- Tick the box to enable, or untick to disable.
- Your changes will save automatically.
- Enabled: Applicants must submit a Pre-Apply before they can book a viewing.
- Disabled: Applicants can book a viewing without Pre-Applying.
Tip: Use the context menu [...] to Schedule Viewing from an Application.
Pre-Apply with Virtual Viewings
Virtual viewings can be combined with pre-apply. The benefit is qualifying prospects with a virtual viewing before receiving an application, then once the application is processed, a physical viewing will be scheduled. This workflow might be useful in areas with lower affordability and during very high demand, where open homes are not feasible, and limited appointments with suitable prospects are more time-efficient and prudent.
How it works
- Enquiry autoresponder and property page invites enquirers to view the Virtual Viewing
- Once the Virtual Viewing has been clicked/watched, then the prospect can complete the Application.
- If a virtual viewing is not available, a fallback to Apply or Request a Viewing is available
- If a viewing is available, both options to register or watch the virtual viewing are available.
Settings:
- Go to Settings for Applications and select Require Viewing before applying with Physical or Virtual Viewing
- Ensure virtual viewings are loaded via Onlist or the Property Uploader
