Snug seamlessly integrates with your utility connection service (UCS) so you can help tenants move in easily and your business can earn referrals.
How it works
- Snug connects your UCS (see our list of integrated partners)
- Prospective tenants opt-in to the referral to your UCS
- When you process an application the referral is automatically sent
- Snug does not duplicate leads so refer as early as possible
- Water Connections are automatically sent in Victoria (even if the mover opts out of utility referral)
There are multiple ways to send a referral on Snug.
1. Application Approved
This is the earliest point to send a utility referral in the Application Workflow.
2. Lease Offer
Use the Congratulations template to send a Lease Offer and select the
3. UCS Lead Button
Simply select the applicant and click "Send" on the top-right of your application dashboard.
4. Marked as Leased
Send the referral when you label the property as leased.
5. Manually
Send anytime using the [...] menu next to the Application.
6. On application download
When you download the application, select send utility referral.
FAQs and Troubleshooting
Q. How do I know if the referral is sent?
A. Snug emails the tenant and the PM confirmation. Plus we show the utility referral pill label status.
Q. What happens if I send multiple referrals?
A. No worries, Snug blocks duplicates to avoid spamming the renter.
Q. Does Snug withdraw a referral if a referral has already been sent and the application is withdrawn or declined?
A. No, Snug does not issue a retraction. Please contact your Utility Connection Provider to notify them that the referral is no longer required.
Q. How can I track & report my utility connection referrals?
A. Your Weekly Digest Report will include a summary of your UCS analytics.
Q. How can I cancel a utility connection referrals?
A. For Ray White Home Now, Your Porter and Compare & Connect brands (including PRD Smarter Connect and Stockdale & Leggo The Whole House), cancellations for the most recent referral can be requested by cancelling within the Snug applications list. For Other utility connection providers, please contact the provider directly to request a cancellation.
Q. How can I see who sent the most recent utility referral for a property?
A. The last sent details can be seen by hovering over the status label.
