What's changed
From mid-2026, Snug no longer collects individual children's details on rental applications. This applies to all application types (Standard, Apply Anywhere, Ballot, and Manual). Snug has removed these fields to protect renter privacy, reduce potential for discrimination and help property managers stay compliant.
Before: Applicants were able to provide information such as child's first name, last name, and birth date.
Now: Applicants are able to provide the total number of children in their household.

Can I still assess whether a property is suitable for a family?
Yes. The total number of children is still provided, which allows you to assess household size against the property's capacity. The renter can assess the suitability of the property for themselves.
