Existing Client Set Up
Activating the SmartDocs / Copilot turning the feature on in the team settings:
- As a team admin, Visit My Team -> Settings -> Team -> AI Tools (NOTE: only team Admins can activate or deactivate)
Enable the SmartDocs and Copilot settings
SmartDocs for Renters
Once SmartDocs is enabled for Renters, they will be presented with the analysis when uploading:
- Payslips
- Rental Ledgers
Renters will be prompted if a document can't be identified as a Payslip or Rental Ledger so they can correct the document. They can also confirm details that vary from those provided in their profile.

SmartDocs for Property Managers
Once SmartDocs is enabled for Property Managers, Payslips and Rental Ledgers will display the SmartDocs analysis in the application details.
Property Managers can confirm details which will be recorded in the application notes for audit trail.
NOTE: SmartDocs for Renters must be enabled for SmartDocs for Property Managers to display information.

Copilot provides a summary and suggestions based on the SmartDocs analysis. If enabled, it is visible from the application list and from the application details page.

A: Document analysis completes quickly, within a few moments.
Q: Does enabled SmartDocs for Renters block Payslips or Rental Ledgers from being submitted?
A: Renters will be prompted if a document can not be identified as a Payslip or Rental Ledger or to confirm where there are variations in the details, however they will still be able to progress if they choose to skip.
Q: How much does SmartDocs / Copilot cost?
A: Pricing is to be confirmed after the Beta completes. Pricing will be available on snug.com/pricing
Q: Does Snug send my data into large learning models?
A: No. Snug uses AI within its local environment and does not use private
data to train models, they are pre-trained.
Q: How does Snug prevent discrimination?
A: Snug AI confirms objective information eg. name of employer
Q: How does Snug ensure inclusiveness?
A: Renters can skip past AI and all applications are presented to the
agency/property manager.
Q: How does Snug ensure fairness?
A: Humans select the tenant, there is no automated decisioning.
